With over 25 years experience, working for some of the most prestigious retailers, Hugh Gordon's passion has always been in meat. From the rearing of it, to the cooking of it, MAN•MEAT•FIRE® was going to happen sooner or later.

MAN•MEAT•FIRE® started as a little nugget in Hugh's head when one day, after helping at a friends barbecue, it occurred that his skills and knowledge where not universal. He thought everyone knew how to make the best of a barbecue, and it seems he was wrong. At the end of the day, after some lovely food, one of the guests suggested to his wife that she 'hired him out', which was then laughed off but sat there in his subconscious until finally he did something about it. In June 2009, MAN•MEAT•FIRE® was launched, on Hugh's birthday.

Along with his wife...... their eyes met over a photocopier.....

With retail experience spanning blue chip department store shop floor, food retailer head office buying and merchandising, and supplier merchandising and marketing, Jane brings with her a wealth of customer focused drive and dogged determination. This was a ship that Jane was not going to let sale without her being on it! After a few years raising their 2 children, she took the opportunity and continues to support MAN MEAT FIRE® in its endeavour to promote all that's great about Great British food.
